TESTIMONIAL
My daughter began modelling as an impressionable 14 year old, in 2017, under Jo’s guidance as Director of Co.lab Model Academy.
Jo is a wonderful mentor, life coach and professional, with a diverse skill set across may fields from business management to photography, all of which contributed to the successful and positive working relationship we developed together.
Jo’s network of well-respected industry professionals soon became my daughter’s network too, which lead to part time work in modelling, a goal my daughter had chosen to pursue when beginning her journey with Co.lab. She soon modelled for Stellar and the Chief (Margaret River and Perth clothing retailer), Fusion Jewellers, Hobo & Hatch and the Goose Cafe and Restaurant and also assisted a friend set up her new Perth label, Shadows and Love. Importantly, this early modelling work provided experience in the workplace which also helped secure and maintain her first regular job as a casual at Alforno Restaurant in Busselton.
I admire Jo’s personal and dedicated approach to managing her modelling academy, ensuring full transparency when dealing with parents, reliable communication and excellent service. My daughter thrived under Jo’s wing, resulting in improved confidence and posture, further developed understanding of grooming and deportment, greater interaction with adults, etiquette and leadership skills, and a greater awareness of the influence, power and potential risk involved with using social media.
Jo is a true professional and a wonderful role model for both teenagers and women.
